COLIN Gordon hailed Kidderminster Harriers' spirit as they saw off Eastleigh in a thrilling encounter at Aggborough last night.

Arthur Gnahoua's superb solo goal sealed a second win in a row for the Reds to boost their play-off hopes.

The winner had relieved the tension after Harriers had been pegged back by big spending Eastleigh.

Luke Maxwell and Harry White scored their first goals for the club but James Constable's brace had dragged the visitors level.

But Gnahoua relieved the tension when he slalomed through Eastleigh to win the match in dramatic fashion.

"I was delighted with the players, particularly in the first half," said the caretaker manager.

"We started the game with a great of intensity and passed the ball and played the game how I want to play it.

"We are playing against a good team with an extremely good budget.

"They have experience and they took advantage of our naivete a bit and caused us a lot of problems in the second half.

"Look at the honesty and endeavour of the team and we won the game with a brilliant goal.

"The back four threw their bodies on the line. No one can doubt the spirit of this team, it has been there or season but what we haven't been able to do is have any quality going forward but we had that against Eastleigh.

"We have that with Harry White, who lead the line like a proper centre forward. He worked his socks off, making tackles with lead to goals.

"There is a lovely balance to the team now."

Harriers, who take on Macclesfield at home on Saturday (3pm ko), moved off the bottom of the Vanarama National League and cut the cap to 20th place to ten points.
