I WAS interested to read an account of the EU referendum debate in last week’s Shuttle.
I do not think I could have been at the same debate. Far from being an in-depth discussion, my friend and I can only describe what we witnessed as a rowdy Brexit high jack.
It was all extremely disappointing. I submitted a question as requested but there was no opportunity to ask it. What was the point of asking for questions?
I am quite amazed that Mr Carver felt he had a UKIP victory. I would not like to be rude or insulting but all we could hear was narrow minded and prejudiced hyperbole. Heaven help us if these are the views that help people decide how to vote in the referendum.
Well I have to say my friend and I left after an hour, maybe there was a miraculous improvement in the debate but I’m inclined to doubt it.
