BUSINESSES from across the region have come together to help raise funds for the Stourbridge base of a leading sight loss charity.

No Frills Networking, an organisation which joins firms in a not-for-profit club, raised cash for the Beacon Centre by holding a monthly raffle over the past year.

After totting up their fundraising efforts throughout the last 12 months, the network has now handed over a cheque for £438 to Beacon’s Stourbridge centre.

David Colley, chairman and co-founder of the No Frills Networking group, said: “We are pleased to be able to help the charity through our fundraising.”

The money will help provide the range of activities which take place at the Beacon Centre for those living with sight loss.

Jackie Tromans, manager of the Beacon Centre in Stourbridge, added: “We are delighted to have benefited from the network’s fundraising. This will help us continue our work.”
