KAF draws ever closer and work to create the Urban Arts Exhibition in Kidderminster Library has already begun. The exhibition will run until September 3 and will feature the work of artists who work on Subway Deluxe in Comberton Hill. Graffiti art these days represents a wide range of styles and this is your chance to see what else these other artists do besides their work on the walls of the town’s subways.

Sadly, SNUG presented by Brewers Troupe, and due to be presented at the King and Castle next Tuesday, August 16, has had to be cancelled due to unfortunate circumstances.

Brewers Troupe hope to reschedule the performance so please contact them directly if you would like to attend, email info@brewerstroupe.com for more details.

The Ode competition will still go ahead. You can see the many entries in the Urban Art Exhibition at Kidderminster Library Gallery as mentioned previously. The winner will be notified directly. Many of the workshops are now fully booked but some have spaces remaining. Go online and book you place now at www. wyreforestdc.gov.uk/KAF If youdream of performing at the West End theatre, then the Musical Theatre Crash Course offers a perfect taster.

The workshop on Thursday, August 25 will be hosted by Michael Neri, who has bags of experience to share. There will be two sessions, between 1pm and 2.15pm for six to 11 year olds and from 2.30pm to 3.45 pm for 12 to 19 year olds.

You can book online at the Wyre Forest website or call 01562 732984 to reserve your place. The cost is just £5 per person. If workshops aren’t your thing, then there will be performers travelling to the town from all over the country. You are guaranteed to see some high-quality entertainment on market days when there will be a range of family shows programmed and they are all free.

Dizzy O’Dare brings the Tiny Travelling Tightwire Show to town next Thursday, August 18. Children will love Poppet the Puppet who attempts the tight wire for the first time.

It is a charming show suitable for all the family. You can see Poppet at 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.45pm in the town centre.

There’s lots more so plan your trips into town to coincide with some top quality entertainment. Busking pitches are still available. Call 01562 732 977 or email arts@wyreforestdc.gov.uk if you would like to discuss details.
