KAF is your arts festival so why not make a personal commitment and get involved this year? You’ll meet some great people, learn new skills and get inspired.

You can participate in a huge range of workshops, free shows, films and exhibitions. How about busking in the street? Pick up a few tips from Sam and the Sax who will be doing a few busking spots in Kidderminster town centre. These are on Thursdays, August 18 and 25, at noon and 1pm on both days.

You could turn your hand to business and apply for the Dragons Den.

Film-makers are wanted for Filmaddict. You are invited to submit a 20-minute film, either drama, horror or experimental.

Tickets are available from the library or online from August 1 at £3 each. You must be over 15 years, doors are open at 6.30pm and films start at 7.30pm.

On August 17, Kidderminster Town Hall will become a radio station and YOU could be the star presenter! Learn how to write, produce and present a radio show which will then be broadcast out into Kidderminster town centre.

You will also get the opportunity to use professional radio equipment and get top tips from Al Booth, former presenter of the Galaxy FM Breakfast Show in Birmingham. You will be able to record your own jingles and learn how to mix all the elements of a live broadcast.

The workshop costs only £5. It runs from 10.15am until 1pm and is specially tailored for 9 to 14-year-olds. You can book on line wyreforestdc.gov.uk/KAF or by phone on 01562 732984 or risk it and pay on the door.

The Step Up Dance Academy returns with a Bollywood and Bhangra workshop on Saturday, August 20 between noon and 1pm at the Town Hall. Allia from Step Up will bring drummers from Nachde Sansaar, and they’ll show you the moves and teach you the steps. Bollywood dance is easy and fun and you’ll find this session really relaxed. It’s all about enjoying yourself.

It’s suitable for anyone over five years – children and adults. You don’t need to wear any special clothing, just wear something comfortable.

Tots in Motion is a magical dance experience. Come and explore moving with your child, learning fun ways to learn dance using themes, and visual props. Relax and have fun with Tots in Motion at the Corn Exchange on August 25 at 10.30am. You can book online or pay on the door. Enjoy a preview on Thursday, August 21 at Kidderminster Town Hall, between 10.30am and 11.30am. the cost is £3 per child, and grown- ups go free.
