A FREE family fun day will be held on the first Saturday of the Bewdley festival.

Events will take place from 11am on Saturday, October 9 at various venues in the town.

Outside the museum, the West Midlands' Appalachian dance team, Itchy Feet, will perform precision routines. They will also provide musical entertainment, as will Malvern folk singer, Sam Walter.

Musicians from The Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre will play a wide range of contemporary music, including some of their own compositions. Contemporary dance group, Urban Dance Moves, made up of students from the school will also put on a show.

In the Jubilee Gardens, visitors will be able to see various birds of prey being flown. During the demonstrations, the public may volunteer for a close encounter with one of the hawks for an opportunity to learn more about the birds.

Stilt walker, Andy Healy, will entertain children of all ages with circus skills and balloon animals.

In the Museum’s Wyre Forest Gallery, Iranian-born artist, Mohsen Keiany, will be on hand during the day to meet the public and discuss his work.
