Bewdley Festival organisers are delighted with the number of local traders who have generously donated 'food' prizes for this year's Eat Bewdley Raffle.

Alan Woods, the Festival's raffle coordinator, said, "In view of the current difficult economic climate I had anticipated that fewer businesses would be able to participate. However, so far over 60 shops, pubs, restaurants, hotels, garden centres and other food outlets in Bewdley and the surrounding areas have donated prizes including meals, hampers and individual food or drink items."

The popular Eat Bewdley Raffle was started several years ago to encourage local traders to become part of Bewdley Festival and to promote their businesses to Festival goers. It is an important fundraising mechanism to enable the Festival to continue bringing famous names to Bewdley.

Raffle tickets will be on sale shortly and the winners will be notified at the end of the Festival in October.
