Having been endorsed today by the Daily Mirror and reminded we have need of an 8% swing to Labour in Wyre Forest to win the seat for Labour, may I reiterate the rationale for ousting the Independent MP?
At the last two General Elections, voters in Wyre Forest have had the luxury of choosing an independent candidate. They knew their local choice would not affect the national result: Labour would win anyway. This time it's different. In a tight finish, who wins in Wyre Forest matters. It could be the result that pushes Labour or Conservatives into government. That's why I'm making this direct appeal to you to VOTE LABOUR on 6th MAY.
I believe your values are similar to mine; a concern for a Fair Society, a belief in Strong Public Services which serve everyone and a realisation that our economy neeeds active support from government to recover from the recession.
As your MP, my priorities would be to uphold these values through the challenges that face our country in the next few years.
