Unemployment fell by 104 in Wyre Forest during March. Therefore, 4.5% of our potential workforce is unemployed. a total of 2,623.This figure is still too high.
However, it is relatively good news. I want to see investment and jobs on the British Sugar Site. Health and Educational Projects (Lea Castle) could get underway with proper investment from the publicly- owned banks (RBS & Lloyds TSB).
Also, a green - technology Science Park could go ahead at the Lea Castle site or the former Sugarbeet site.
Let's encourage entrepreneurs, government. Advantage West Midlands and the banks to go forward with these projects. Wyre Forest remains a great place to invest and to live.
