What about the Tories claim that their proposed cut to National Insurance by 1% is a good, sound policy? Not so good, according to Ken Clarke, Tory Shadow Business Secretary who said - quote “the cut was not something you knock off for a TV programme.” This was said by him in a House of Commons debate.

Clarke was responding to George Osborne’s announcement a few hours before a live televised TV debate. However, Clarke later had to back-track. He said he made the remarks - quote, “before I was exposed to the collective wisdom of my colleagues.”

So there we have it – a senior Tory agreeing to put one over on the voting public to give them a victory they don’t deserve, based on deceit and bluff. And the Tories have a £22 million hole in their Budget Programme meaning Job Losses and Public Spending Cuts.

As a matter of fact, the Labour Government plans a reduction in National Insurance contributions in 2011 - 2012 for those earning £20,000.(£1,571 in 2010 down to £1,555 in 2011- 2012).So all the Tory supporters in big business who have fallen for the Tory “con” ought to have known better. But did they realise what’s at stake – a possible Tory win? Yes, some of them did -the others were naïve and failed to see the “Big Picture” where the Labour Government in protecting the economy and pursuing our Recovery Programme.

I trust Wyre Forest voters will draw their own conclusions?
