The Bewdley Tourist Information Centre and Museum are held in very high esteem. The Museum is a fantastic place for locals and tourists to enjoy and to better understand our local history and heritage.

I would very much like to see the Museum open all year round. It seems regrettable that during the winter months when it is closed, we lose the benefit of access and enjoyment. Also, I feel sure in suggesting that businesses in the old Shambles Work Shops and Galleries and the Cafe would benefit from year round opening.

I realise WFDC has budget issues. However, the cost of staffing the Museum should be measured against the extra business generated by sales in the Museum, and wider businesses in the community. Also, there is no doubt that the Museum does attract extra tourists and visitors to Bewdley and the Wyre Forest area.

Will Bewdley Town Council support this objective? I do hope so.
