As Jenny Paddock, Festival Director, announced, Festival organisers have been trying to book Gervase Phinn for several years. His long awaited appearance on Wednesday 14th October did not disappoint.
Reminiscences of his experiences as a Yorkshire schools inspector brought to the Festival an evening of warm humour. Through his observations and the power of language he gave an uplifting evening which will long be remembered by a sell-out audience.
