With only three weeks to go until Bewdley Festival begins on October 9th, organisers are delighted with the public response. Spokeswoman, Carole Swingler, reports that ticket sales have exceeded all expectations. However, not everything is completely sold out.
In the evenings tickets are available for Beverley Craven, Jan Ravens the impressionist, 'Broadway to Bewdley', songs from the great musicals, and a handful left for Stirling Moss, Prunella Scales and Richard Digance. Audiences can still attend daytime events such as legendary singer/songwriter Vin Garbutt, the CBSO Leo String Quartet, story teller and ukelele player Gabriella, and talks on Van Gogh, Ruth Ellis, Richard III, Charles Darwin, Youth Justice, Archaeology in the local area, and the role and work of the coroner.
Families can still attend a ceramic painting session, or visit historic Uncllys Farm, taking their own apples for pressing if they wish.
Tickets can be bought by telephone from 01905 611427, or in person from Bewdley Tourist Information Centre.
