WHEN you visit Tamworth Castle, you follow in the haunted footsteps of servants, lords and royalty.

The journey through time starts in the medieval dungeon, a setting for many grisly scenes. Then climb the elegant stairs to the 13th century dining room where guests are invited to sit at the Tudor banqueting table and imagine feasting with the noble family.

Step forward to the 17th century and encounter the grand ladies chamber, a room that has reputedly been haunted for 900 years and filmed by TV’s Most Haunted.

The journey continues through the servant’s chamber to the battlements, here you can take up century duty and watch over the stunning views of the courtyard and the Castle grounds.

Then enter the Victorian suite of rooms including the private bedchambers, the children’s nursery, and the beautiful drawing room before finally experiencing Tamworth Castle’s jewel in the crown, a room built to impress, a space that is the setting for weddings, events and school visits.

The Great Hall features a 15th century timber tie beam roof, an amazing display of armour and weaponry and a beautiful Jacobean fireplace.
