DAY six of Bewdley Festival saw writer and comedian Andy Hamilton on stage at a packed Ramada Hotel.
Having chosen a foil from the audience and made everyone chant a disclaimer in case of injury caused by his jokes, he settled down to entertain with a collection of funny stories, witty asides and reminiscences about himself and his early and later family life.
Andy involved the audience throughout and many of the stories were inspired by suggestions from them or chosen from a top hat of subjects that was every now and then offered to an eager audience member.
We heard about the conduct of dogs, how his wife was propositioned by a dolphin, travelling by Tube and many other very varied subjects, including a few mild rants at politicians, money in football and a certain BBC correspondent.
We also enjoyed some funny and more whimsical stories of his children.
All in all it was a most entertaining performance from a master raconteur.
