LOVERS of opera both grand and popular enjoyed a scintillating evening performance by Operababes at the Ramada Hotel.

Two delighfully young, talented and attractive performers delivered music spontaneously and joyously, providing an evening to be remembered.

The Lakme Flower Duet by Delibes and Apres un Reve by Faure, shared by soprano and contralto voices, were followed by solo items from various composers including Ivor Novello and Debussy.

The short interval over, the audience was enchanted by pieces such as the sensuous delights of Summertime by Gershwin, and Jerome Kern's The Man I Love.

Elegant in dress, fascinating in movement and voice, the girls were ably accompanied by 'Harry', whose breathtaking medleys interspersed the singing and earned him huge applause.

Truly a musical feast, enjoyed by all.
