THE final act of the 21st Bewdley Festival was an effervescent appearance by one of the most popular jazz and swing bands in the world, King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys.

They produced a high octane performance which had a sell out audience at the Ramada Hotel on their feet rocking and jiving to a wide range of their repertoire, from their unique 1940s Kansas City Jazz and Blues to a barn storming Tequila and their version of Shake, Rattle and Roll.

In their trademark blue suits, they created an atmosphere of fun and energy which challenged anyone to stop their feet from moving.

Even at the end of their three sessions their energy showed no signs of diminishing. This was a highly visual performance and through it all, they exhibited excellent musicianship, producing a polished, high quality delivery which kept the audience enthralled.

All in all, it was a fitting finale to the extraordinary range of talent that has visited Bewdley in 2008 and asks the question again – how do they top that?
