A male carrying a samurai sword on an illegal e-bike has been arrested.
Plain-clothes officers from the Stratton, Central Swindon North and West Swindon Neighbourhood Policing Team have been conducting patrols around Swindon, visiting the Pinehurst, Gorse Hill, Rodbourne and town centre areas.
A number of stop and searches were carried out throughout the day on Tuesday, May 14, resulting in one person on an illegal e-bike being found to have a samurai sword, a large amount of cash and mobile phones that are believed to have been used for drug dealing.
That individual then found themselves in custody after being arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a bladed article and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "The individual arrested remains under investigation while officers continue to gather evidence."
