REPORTS of motorists speeding near The Rose Theatre in Kidderminster have led to a police operation.
Officers have conducted a speeding operation to crack down on motorists flouting the limit on Stourbridge Road and Chester Road, near the theatre.
They said they caught some speeding motorists and seized a vehicle after the driver had no insurance and was disqualified from driving.
Police Officer Richard Clayton, of SNT Wyre Forrest, said on the West Merica Police alerts system: "Officers have conducted a speeding operation last week in the Broadwaters area namely Stourbridge Road and Chester Road near the Rose Theatre due to reports of vehicles driving at excessive speed.
"A number of motorists have been stopped and dealt with in relation to traffic matters and speeding offences and a vehicle seized for insurance and disqualified driving.
"We will continue to conduct speeding operations in your area."
