AN award-winning hairdresser has relocated her flagship Kidderminster salon to Stourport in an effort to keep costs low for clients.

Lisa Shepherd previously won the accolade of British Hairdresser of the Year and has appeared on TV’s 10 Years Younger as the Colour Doctor.

Lisa chose Kidderminster to open her flagship salon 21 years ago, which became the first in the UK to offer a low sensory experience.

She has now relocated the salon and her team to a brand-new space in her hometown of Stourport.

Kidderminster Shuttle:

The 52-year-old said: “I love doing hair.

“It’s my absolute passion, I’d do it for free if I could.

"But with salons impacted by the energy crisis we’ve seen bills increase by literally thousands, and with clients being squeezed by the cost of living, I wanted to buck the price increase trend and actually bring my prices down".

Kidderminster Shuttle:

"By moving the team to our beautiful new premises we’re cutting an average of £20 off most services without compromising on quality – in fact, the new space is much more luxurious, especially with the new hair spa bed – clients will feel like they’re having a girls’ pamper session in a relaxed boutique setting.”

Lisa also wants to open a bistro adjoining the York Street salon in the future.

Lisa added: “I love change, I’ve never been afraid of it, I embrace it.

"The new salon is an opportunity to refresh my brand and bring our globally renowned colour services to my hometown, offering more luxurious services at an even better price, and I can’t wait.”

Lisa has also won Midlands Hairdresser of the Year three times, British Colour Technician of the Year three times, and was appointed as UK and Global Colour Ambassador for leading brands including Schwarzkopf, L’Oreal and Redken.

Her own award-winning product range, The Hair Boss, is stocked in Superdrug.
