SENIOR citizens in the Wyre Forest region have an opportunity to improve their health and wellbeing with a number of events taking place that could massively help their lifestyle.

The Showcase of Services for Older People programme promises to provide opportunities to see what is on offer to boost well being.

It follows Wyre Forest District Council’s partnership with Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest to stage three showcasing events in different locations.

Visitors will be offered advice and information on healthy living, finance, benefits and local services that are available to older people.

The first showcase event takes place at Kidderminster Medical Centre in Waterloo Street on Thursday, September 22.

The event switches to Bewdley Medical Centre in Dog Lane on September 29 before the final meeting on October 6 at Stourport Medical Centre in Dunley Road.

All the events will take place from 10am until noon.

Wyre Forest council leader Helen Dyke said: “ The showcase of services for older people is a really useful event offering a range of information and advice that could help improve an older person’s health and wellbeing.

“It’s great that the event is back in person and even better that there are three opportunities to visit this year”.
