A SPONSORED junior training night at Stourport Hockey Club raised more than £350 for the Back on Track appeal.
Fran Moss, ladies first team captain and junior coordinator at the club, organised the event and 60 children turned out to sharpen their skills.
She said: "It was a way for some of them to play competitively and was also a good opportunity for them to test themselves and improve on their performance in a fun environment.
"From the coaches' point of view, it is nice to see how they have come along both as players and as friends."
She added: "It was also nice to see all their faces when we gave them all certificates at the end of the night."
The event took place on Wednesday last week.
