Stourport Men’s 1st XI 4-0 Burton:

Stourport's men's 1st XI made it seven wins out of seven when they entertained Burton, in the Midlands 1st Division, winning 4-0. Stourport started well dominating possession for the opening fifteen minutes. Joe Schubert, Leo* all had early chances, with Leo* opening the scoring off a short corner rebound. Leeke doubled the score shortly afterwards, deflecting in a Leo*goal bound effort that was 'potentially' sneaking wide. Some good saves from Burtons' keeper kept the score down, but on the stroke of halftime, a third was swept home by Leo*. Stourport dominated the second half as Captain Cavendish and his defensive unit marshalled any counterattack comfortably. A fourth goal was inevitable and after some great interplay between Schubert, Callum*, before Leo* swept home his second of the match.

Stourport Men’s 2nd XI 1-1 Market Drayton 1st's XI:

Travelling to take on Market Drayton in their Midland’s Division 4 West match, Stourport 2nd’s, gave debuts to Harry*, Charlie Adlem and Paul Rhodes. The first half was a stalemate, as neither side looked liked scoring with the two sides cancelled each other out. Drayton broke the deadlock with the first penalty corner of the second half, the ball being played back to the injector who scored. Stourport huffed and they puffed and eventually, David Stokes taking inspiration from David Knott equalised through a penalty corner. Stourport finished the match in the ascendency but was unable to break down the Market Drayton defence.

Stourport Men’s 3rd XI 2-5 Birmingham University 5th XI: 

In an early away match against a young, fit and well organised Birmingham University side, Stourport men's 3rd XI were hit hard from the beginning of their Midlands Mens' South West Division 6 match. Finding themselves three goals down in the opening twenty-five minutes, the visitors rallied and just before the break, Buoyed by a solid goalkeeping performance, by Kas Abbis Stourport pulled a goal back through a well-taken reaction goal, by one of the ever-improving youngsters in the side Jack*. Birmingham scored again but Stourport replied again through a David Knott to make it 2-4. Towards the end of the match, Stourport found themselves weakened by injuries to three senior players, Birmingham capitalising on this, added a fifth before the final whistle. 

Stourport Men’s 5th XI 1-20 Old Halesonians 5th'sXI:

Stourport men's 5th XI entertained an Old Hales side whose average score this season, in the Midlands Men's Division 9 South West, has been 17-0 victories. So this was always going to be a difficult match, with the only real highlight being the fifty-fifth-minute goal, which was scored by Adam Goode, his first goal for the 5th XI.  

Ladies’ Section

Stourport Ladies’ 1st X 2-0 Durham University:

After a delayed start a young and fit Durham side started this Vitality Women's Division 1North match strongly, putting Stourport under pressure from the hit back. Stourport coping well against their zonal press successfully linked their play and scored an excellently worked team goal which was converted by Lizzie Pocknall after fifteen minutes. The next forty-five minutes were very competitive, with both sides having multiple chances, Durham winning three short corners in a row. Stourport's defending was outstanding, as they stepped in front of balls and won challenges, and keeper Sophie Wood made some great saves. As the match entered its final quarter, Stourport extended their lead with a fantastic reverse stick shot, into the top of the goal by Sarah Parkinson-Mills.    

Stourport Ladies’ 2nd XI 2-2 Olton & West Warwickshire 2nd XI:

Stourport ladies 2nd gained a 2-2 draw against their hosts, Olton 2nd XI, in the Midlands Women's Premier League at the weekend. Stourport put in a very strong first-half performance when in the opening ten minutes Racheal Howells converted; a short corner put the visitors into the lead. Stourport's defence was under immense pressure, and some great saves from the Stourport keeper kept the score at 1-0 at the break. However, in the last ten minutes the match came alive, with first Olton equalising, then Stourport retaking the lead through Bryony*, only for Olton to score a second to level the scores at 2-2 at the final whistle.

Stourport Ladies’ 4th XI 0-8 Bromsgrove 2nd XI:

Despite a weakened side Stourport ladies 4ths' put up a creditable performance when travelled to neighbours Bromsgrove where they were narrowly beaten 0-8, in their Midlands Women's 3 South West Division. Bromsgrove started well pressuring the visitor's defence from the hit back and was 0-3 ahead at the break. Despite this Stourport grew in confidence throughout the half, and managed the occasional breakout.  In the second half, the Stourport goal was under siege, with a series of short corners which produced one of the five goals that the home side scored in the second half.
