The Museum of Carpet holds in its archive a veritable treasure trove of photographs of the people of Kidderminster who worked in the carpet industry as well as the environments they worked in. As many of these people remain unidentified, the Museum would be grateful to offer access to photographs for these people to be recognised and add to the potential of the archive as a family history research resource.

The images displayed show different stages in the working life from first days to heydays to celebrations to leaving presentations from 1920's to 1970's. It is rare we have the names of the individuals as in the Brinton’s Machine Shop photograph in 1922.

The Museum can be contacted via its enquiry service email box enquiries@musuemofcarpet.org.uk, or simply coming in to see us at Stour Vale Mill in Green Street!
