Sounds Like "After a month's reign as champs, Black Daniel are champs no more. It took a tune and a half to beat them though. The Lines are our new Unsigned Detail champions with 'Tracey.' A massive swirling anthem that you could imagine filling many an arena" -Steve Harris, Virgin Radio - The Edge Show.

"Bearing in mind this line-up is less than twelve months old, this is a band with big promise." Ryan's Gig Guide

"Great songs, this band has the potential to be something special." Kerrang Radio

"Awesome, cracking tunes, second to none. Showmanship and presence outstanding, one to watch. Really want this band on my label" Championship Label

"Alex has a fantastic voice, similar to Richard Ashcroft, should take his band far" Kerrang Radio

"After seeing these guys last year at the Little Civic, I was taken pretty far back. Enigmatic and frustrated guitar solos, as well as deep contrived bass lines. The Lines capture what some bands strive to achieve, day in day out, and pull off essentially what is a bittersweet symphony of general life, and the people that effects them. You say there great; we say there genius, catch it before it catches you... Icon-Unsigned

"The performance was tight and the lads were as impressive a support band as I've seen all year. If you get the chance to catch them, whether in a supporting capacity or at one of their headline shows, don't hesitate. With any luck, they will be signed and making waves nationwide by the end of the year" cdtimes.co.uk

The Lines have only officially been together since January 2006.

Hailing from Wolverhampton they are a group of dedicated individuals with big ambition. Having built up a strong local following, The Lines have also expanded the live performances outside of their home City, with a series of successful support slots to a diverse array of newly signed artists such as Babyshambles, The Twang, The Paddingtons, Little Man Tate, Editors, The Mexicolas, Bromheads Jacket, Electric Soft Parade, 747s, Polytechnic, Jack Penate, The Holloways, The Maccabees, Scott Matthews, The Heights, and the Howling Bells.

Whilst the comparisions have been made to many of the great bands of the past, most notably the sonic guitar histrionics of The Verve. The band stand alone. And its with this single minded belief, coupled with an explosive live sound and with a set list of songs with timeless melodies that it is surely only a matter of time before this band becomes a household name.
