CHILDREN in Kidderminster can learn how to care for wildife in their gardens and local area at free workshops at Pets at Home this half term.

The Spring Spotters workshops will run as part of the My Pet Pals Activity Club at the Pets at Home store in Kidderminster.

Colleagues, whose training is endorsed by City and Guilds, will be on hand between Saturday, May 28, and Sunday, June 5, to share their knowledge on how to keep garden visitors, like wild birds and butterflies happy and healthy.

They will also run some fun, interactive activities to help children learn to grow plants and make wildlife masks.

Emma Morgans, store manager, said: "With longer days and warmer weather, there will be much more wildlife activity in our parks and gardens over the next few months.

"Our free workshop is a chance for the pet lovers of Kidderminster to engage with our colleagues who will be able to offer tips and advice on how to spot and look after local wildlife, whilst making the workshop fun and interactive."

After completeing the workshops, each child will receive a Spring Spotters poster and stickers, along with everything they need to grow, spot and encourage wildlife into their own gardens at home.
