KEEN singers from Kidderminster joined more than 60 members of Rock Choir from throughout Bromsgrove, Redditch and Stourbridge recently for a glorious return to the Bromsgrove Festival.

The choir took to the stage as part of the festival for the third year running, performing at the annual local choirs day on Sunday, June 28.

Members entertained the crowds with a full repertoire of uplifting, feel-good songs, including Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ and ELO’s ‘Mr Blue Sky’.

Rock Choir leader, Christa Hugo who runs choirs in the choir in Kidderminster, as well as other branches, said: “We were delighted to be asked to return to this wonderful festival and the members are always really well received by the public.”

The Rock Choir is part of a national contemporary choir organisation, with as many as 17,000 members in more than 300 towns and cities around the country, all rehearsing and performing, often to raise money for charity.

Potential members don’t need to audition, or be able to read music. For more information, visit rockchoir.com or call 01252 714276.
