FESTIVE fun and gifts will launch the Christmas season at a Kidderminster church.

The double-billed St George’s Church and Traidcraft Fair will be packed with stalls and feature a host of entertainment on Saturday (November 29) between 2pm and 5pm.

Local choirs and soloists will hope to strike a chord with gift hunters and the Elements Dance Group will step up the seasonal mood.

Father Christmas will make an early appearance and there will be face painting for children along with magic tricks and entertainment by Peter Cooper from the Barrel of Fun, Comberton.

The church aisle will be lined with craft tables and floral decorations and light refreshments will be served in the St George’s café.

A large selection of Traidcraft products, made by people in the developing world, will also be on sale and the Kidderminster Fairtrade Steering Group will be promoting the campaign.

Katie Hudson, event organiser, said: “There will be lots going on and a great variety of stalls offering more unusual gifts than can be found in many high street chains.”
