TO launch the 10th anniversary of Kidderminster Arts Festival, the Boars Head pub and the Boars Head Gallery will be holding a free two-day fringe festival.

The music and events will be held inside the Boars Head as well as outside in Worcester Street, in the Coronation Gardens and up to the Comberton Hill subway.

Musicians, poets, artists, street performers and dancers will be taking part in the fringe on Saturday and Sunday.

Visiting artists will again be applying their talents to the subway walls to brighten up Kidderminster and the Above Boards artists will continue the artwork on boards to the Boars Head.

The music kicks off at 1pm on Saturday and features The Leah Cullen Band, Ad Snips, Bo Pilar and The Mountain Valley Boys, Kerrie Worth, Paul Fearfulfingers Havard, Rustlung, 10:94, Vault of Eagles and The Dale Von Minaker Band.

Sunday music starts at 1.30pm and includes Tristy, Squatocracy, Ugly Faces for Radio, We are Fenton, Rubicava, Alex Round, KarpetKickers, Humdrum Express, Time of the Mouth, Hyperreality and Sucio Suzie.

DJs and hip hop dancers will be performing in between the live acts.

There will also be refreshments and market stalls available and poets and The Bearded Ladies will be paying a visit.

Also at the Boars Head, the Mouth and Music team will be holding a battle of the sexes competition as part of Kidderminster Arts Festival.

The spoken word and music night will present Gloves Off on Tuesday.

Sarah Tamar, Heather Wastie, Bobby Parker, Ddotti Bluebell, Maggie Doyle, Kate Wragg, Al Barz, Humdrum Express, Gary Longden and William Shatspeare will be competing.

The audience will pick the winning team at the show, which starts at 8pm. There will be limited open floor spots for people wishing to join the teams on the night.
