FASCIONE Barbara (nee Smith) Passed away peacefully on 18th September 2023, aged 83. Very sadly missed by her sons Michael and Matthew and all her family and friends. A service will take place at Wyre Forest Crematorium on Friday 13th October 2023, at 9am. Donations welcome to Marie Curie Cancer Care or the Dogs Trust.

My lovely friend Barbara, a very special lady. We met through our Art Groups, she was a wonderful pastel artist, and we became friends. After several weeks/months we were talking about where we'd lived before and strangely we were both from Leicester, not only that she knew the place Aylestone where I grew up. This gets even spookier when I said we moved to a place called Ayres Monsell Estate (?) So did we she said whereabouts. Runcorn Road. She then said did you have a brother called Paul and sister Jane and my face well. She only lived next door to us. I was completely thrown. So 50-60 years later we meet in the Art Group, and she brought me a picture of Me. Amazing. I will certainly miss her and sadly she wasn't able to attend classes the last few years.
